Devendro Singh Laishram is a former Indian Olympic boxer from Manipur who represented India at the London 2012 Olympic Games in the 49 kg Light-Flyweight division. He reached the Olympic quarter-finals and finished 5th overall. He earned his Olympic qualification after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2011 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Baku.
Devendro Singh Laishram, born on 2 March 1992 in Imphal West, Manipur, is a former Indian Light-Flyweight boxer. He was affiliated with the Army Sports Institute in Pune and represented India at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Devendro earned his Olympic qualification through his performance at the 2011 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Baku, where he reached the quarter-finals in the 49 kg Light-Flyweight category. This result secured his place at the London Olympic Games.
At London 2012, Devendro began his Olympic campaign against Honduras' Bayron Molina and advanced after the referee stopped the contest. In the Round of 16, he produced an impressive victory over Pürevdorjiin Serdamba of Mongolia, the 2008 Olympic silver medallist, winning by decision.
In the quarter-final on 8 August 2012, Devendro faced Paddy Barnes of Ireland, a two-time Olympic bronze medallist. Devendro fought strongly but lost the bout 23–18, ending his Olympic medal hopes. His official Olympic placing was =5th. Devendro continued to compete internationally after the Olympics. He won a silver medal at the 2013 Asian Confederation Boxing Championships and another silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the Light-Flyweight division. He also won gold at the 2014 Bocskai Invitation Tournament in Hungary.
His achievement at London 2012 remains an important part of India's Olympic boxing history, as he became one of India's boxers to reach the Olympic quarter-finals.
