Mary Kom, popularly known as “Magnificent Mary,” is one of India's greatest boxers. She won a bronze medal in the women's 51 kg flyweight category at the London 2012 Olympic Games and became the first Indian woman boxer to win an Asian Games gold medal in 2014. She is also a six-time World Boxing Champion and one of the most decorated female boxers in history.

Born in Manipur, Mary Kom rose from humble beginnings to become one of the most successful female boxers in the world. She competed primarily in the flyweight category and became a dominant force in international women's boxing.

Mary Kom became the first Indian woman boxer to win an Asian Games gold medal when she claimed the women's 51 kg title at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. The Indian Olympic Association records her gold medal in the 51 kg boxing event.
Mary Kom is a six-time World Amateur Boxing Champion and has won World Championship medals across multiple editions. She has also represented India at the Olympic Games and remained an inspiration for generations of Indian boxers.
