Ngangom Dingko Singh was born on 1 January 1979 in Sekta, Manipur. He experienced a difficult childhood and lost his parents at a young age. He was subsequently raised in an orphanage.
Despite the challenges he faced during his early years, Dingko developed a passion for boxing and discovered that the sport could provide him with a path towards a better future.
